comfortable stay but slightly overpriced
The evening meal we had was truly delightful, showing great attention to detail in the menu choices. The garden view from our room added a tranquil touch to the overall experience.
The rates seem a little high for a one-night stay.

Had a fantastic stay with my group of friends! We loved the convenient location that allowed us to explore nearby attractions like Castle Howard and the charming market town of Easingwold. The staff were super friendly, and the dining experience was a great value. The breakfast was delicious, setting us up perfectly for a day of adventure.
The accommodation blocks felt a bit utilitarian and reminded me of a travel lodge, which wasn’t quite what we expected based on the promotional material.

we had a memorable stay at hawkhills. the bed was just right for us, and the exercise equipment was a nice touch. but what really stood out was the staff. they went above and beyond when my wife had an emergency, ensuring we felt cared for and bringing breakfast to our room. they truly made us feel welcome.

okay so the hawkhills is such a cool place, the main house is realy pretty with that spiral staircase and stained glass windows. the room we got was good, comfy enough for a night. the breakfast was also pretty delish. There’s options for dinner if u want it. there’s also a gym on site which is a nice bonus even tho we didn’t use it since we were just there for a night. would’ve loved to check out the grounds but it rained heavily during our stay.
the pillows were kinda hard and the bathroom could use a little fixing up. i also wished the bar opened earlier.

missingWrote a review on 02 Junbeautiful gardensvictorian architecturedated room
The main house impresses with its Victorian architecture, featuring charming stained glass windows and a grand spiral staircase. The separate double room, though a bit basic, ensures a comfortable night, enhanced by beautifully landscaped gardens perfect for a quiet stroll.
The room layout feels somewhat dated and institutional, reminiscent of older Premier Inn styles, with a bed that lacks adequate support. It can get stuffy without proper ventilation, and the evening meal options are limited and not served long enough, which is a hassle if you arrive late. Plus, it's tucked away far from any amenities, making a car essential to avoid hefty taxi fares if you're headed to the nearby city.
